Dr. Michael Dillon

"As a coach, my mission is to facilitate learning and development in others to unlock their potential, cultivate self-awareness, clarify actionable goals, and support meaningful, sustainable change."

My Story

After a decade in working banking and finance, I transitioned into being a professor following the market crash of 2008. It was then that I discovered a passion for facilitating learning and development in others. I took a particular interest in exploring how people can improve self-awareness and thrive personally and within organizations and teams, and how leaders can show up to reinforce this ideal. As a professor, I am fortunate to witness personal growth daily.

As a lifelong learner, I have obtained a Dual Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, a Doctor of Education in Adult Education and Human Resource and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia, and a Project Management Certificate at Central Michigan University.

I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, spent 10 years in Atlanta, GA, and currently reside in Lansing, MI. I am happily married, have 2 adult children, a grandchild, and a feisty Cairn Terrier named Foxy. In my free time, I like to spend time with my amazing wife and family, hike, bike, be close beautiful Michigan water, read, watch a good show or movie, and eat amazing food.
