Dr. Michael Dillon

I specialize in coaching new / emerging / aspiring leaders; professional / life changes; career transitions; leading organizational change; talent development.

My Story:

I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and currently reside in Lansing, MI. I am happily married, have 2 adult children, a grandchild, and a feisty Cairn Terrier named Foxy. In my free time, I like to be with my amazing wife and family, hike, bike, relax near beautiful Michigan water, read, watch a good show or movie, or discover new restaurants.

After my first career working banking and finance, I transitioned into being a professor following the market crash of 2008. It was then that I discovered a passion for facilitating learning and development in others. I took a particular interest in exploring how people can improve self-awareness and thrive personally and within organizations and teams, and how leaders can show up to promote a positive culture. As a professor, I am fortunate to witness personal and professional growth in others regularly.

As a lifelong learner, I have obtained a Dual Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, a Doctor of Education in Adult Education and Human Resource and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia, a Project Management Certificate at Central Michigan University, and a Coaching Certificate from Loyola Maryland.
